Just because it’s aged for a long period, it doesn’t mean that all sweet potato shochu becomes good. After brewing the most suitable raw shochu, the carefully selected unblended sweet potato shochu is aged for 5 years. By aging it slowly, the components taste and aroma result in a complex, rich flavor, then we bottle it. Genmon means “real thing” in Kagoshima dialect and it is indeed a luxurious, pure sweet potato shochu with sophisticated scent and smoothness.
